Our Commitment

Travelling by coach is one of the more environmentally friendly ways to travel long distance, and we recognise the responsibility that comes with connecting communities across Australia.

At Greyhound, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and supporting the communities and environments in which we operate.
Through environmental partnerships, local community support and responsible business practices, we’re working to make a positive contribution wherever we travel.

We recognise that the places we travel through are just as important as the destinations we connect.  That’s why we continue to support initiatives that help protect local environments, strengthen communities and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Our Partnership with Landcare

Partnerships and People

What makes Landcare Australia unique is its people. Across the country, volunteers help protect and restore local environments, caring for the land, waterways and ecosystems that support communities across Australia.

Through our partnership with Landcare Australia, we’re proud to support projects that help create healthier landscapes and stronger communities.

For more than 30 years, Landcare Australia has supported communities across the country to protect and restore local environments. Through funding, on ground projects, education and community partnerships, Landcare helps create healthier landscapes and stronger communities.

Together, these efforts deliver a range of positive environmental and community outcomes, including:

  • Sustainable land management
  • Protection and conservation of land, waterways and coastal environments
  • Habitat restoration to support biodiversity
  • Greater resilience across Australia’s food and farming systems
  • Stronger, more connected communities
Greyhound has proudly supported Landcare Australia since 2023, giving customers the opportunity to contribute to Landcare’s Tree Planting program and help create a lasting environmental impact.
You can support Landcare Australia by adding a $1, $3 or $5 donation to your booking at checkout.
Every $10 donated helps fund the planting of one native tree, supporting local communities, wildlife habitats and environmental restoration projects across Australia.

The centre’s work also extends into education and community engagement, helping build greater awareness of the region’s unique biodiversity. Through training programs, schools and community events, the team supports new wildlife carers and encourages a deeper understanding of the native species that call the Maranoa home.

There are many ways to support the centre’s work, from volunteering and donations through to animal sponsorship and corporate partnerships. Every contribution helps support wildlife care, education programs and conservation efforts across the region.
