Long journeys are easier when you’re comfortable. That’s why every Greyhound coach includes practical onboard features designed to help you relax, stay connected and enjoy the ride.
Free WiFi
Stay connected on the road with free WiFi available on selected Greyhound services*
Step 1: Select GreyhoundWiFi from the list of available networks.
Step 2: Tick “I accept the terms of use” when prompted and select Connect.
If the page doesn’t open automatically, launch your browser and follow the prompts to complete the connection.
*WiFi is available on East Coast services within Telstra coverage areas.
USB Charging at Every Seat
Nobody enjoys seeing a low battery warning halfway through a trip. Every seat includes a USB-A charging port, so it’s easy to keep your devices powered along the way.
Reclining Leather Seats
Comfortable reclining leather seats and generous legroom give you plenty of space to settle in and relax.
Onboard Restroom
Every Greyhound service includes an onboard restroom for added convenience. We also schedule regular comfort stops throughout the journey.
Air Conditioning
Our coaches are air conditioned to help keep things comfortable year round. If you tend to feel the cold, we do recommend bringing a jumper.
Panoramic Windows
Some of Australia’s best scenery is found between destinations. Large panoramic windows make it easy to take it all in, with curtains available when you’d prefer a little shade.
Reading Lights
Every seat includes an individual reading light, making it easy to keep reading long after the sun goes down.
Choosing your seat can make the journey that little bit more comfortable. With Seat Selection, you can reserve a window or aisle seat when you book your Greyhound travel.
You don’t have to choose a seat during booking. If you leave it for later, we’ll allocate the first available seat on each service you’re travelling on.
Changing Your Seat
Plans and preferences can change. You can update your seat selection at any time before your coach departs through your My Greyhound account.
How to Change Your Seat
Step 1: Your allocated seat will be shown in green, while unavailable seats will be shown in red. Select your allocated seat to begin making a change.
Step 2: Select the seat you’d prefer. You can update your selection as many times as you need.
Step 3: Once you’re happy with your seat, select CONTINUE to save your changes and proceed to payment.

Please Note
Seat allocations, whether chosen during booking or allocated automatically, are not guaranteed. Last minute service, coach changes or operational requirements may result in a different seat being allocated.
Travelling overnight is a practical way to make the most of your time on the road. While you sleep, you’ll cover the distance between destinations and arrive ready for the day ahead.
Every overnight Greyhound service includes reclining leather seats, USB charging, onboard restrooms and air conditioning, along with free WiFi on selected services.
If you’re travelling on one of our Travel Passes, overnight services can also help you spend more time exploring and less time in transit.
Preparing for an Overnight Journey
A little preparation can make overnight travel more comfortable.
Bring a jumper or light blanket
Our coaches are air conditioned throughout the journey. If you tend to feel the cold, we’d recommend bringing an extra layer.
Pack a few snacks
Most overnight services include scheduled meal breaks, but it’s always worth having something on hand if you sleep through a stop or get hungry between breaks.
Consider earplugs
Everyone travels differently. A pair of earplugs can help minimise distractions and make it easier to rest.
Bring a water bottle
Staying hydrated can make a big difference on longer journeys. Every Greyhound coach includes an onboard restroom for convenience.
Don’t forget your travel essentials
A charging cable, travel pillow, hand sanitiser and any personal items you regularly use can help make the journey more comfortable.
